The Manitoba Chapter was established in 1974 as the first Canadian Chapter of the Wildlife Society. We are dedicated to the conservation and protection of our wildlife resource base through public awareness, education and professional development.  We strive for the Manitoba Chapter to be an inclusive environment for all members and those involved in the wildlife community. Our current objectives include continuing to offer current information on wildlife matters to our membership, developing and offering workshops and resources that support students and early career professionals in their development within the field of wildlife biology, expanding our engagement, availability and support to our Northern members, embracing provincial citizen science initiatives and honing in on long-term membership benefits for all members.
